Krisztina Fejes performs a wide repertoire including works by J.S.Bach, Scarlatti, Beethoven, Chopin, Schumann, Brahms, Saint Saens, Albéniz, Ravel, Debussy and contemporary music. As a native Hungarian, she is keenly attracted to the pieces of Franz Liszt and Béla Bartók. Ms. Fejes often performs Liszt’s Sonata in B Minor, Totentanz, Ravel Piano Concerto for left hand as well as Beethoven piano sonatas, concertos and Bartók pieces. She is endowed with a dynamic, temperamental and evocative style of playing. Remarkable features of her performances include large variety of the sound, fantasy of the phrasing and the natural musical breath. She sends musical messages toward the audience and transfares the sound and the concept all over the concert hall.
Her skill to deeply immerse in musical interpretations allows her to build a very touching atmosphere.

Born and raised in Hungary, Ms. Fejes began studying piano at the age of five and made her debut at the age of twelve by participating in the finals of the prestigious Lajos Papp Piano Competition. At the age of fourteen she was accepted to the Béla Bartók Conservatory in Budapest. In 2003, she was admitted to the acclaimed Liszt Ferenc Academy of Music where she studied under László Baranyay, Balázs Szokolay and Attila Némethy. During her studies, in 2007, she won second prize at the Carl Filtsch Piano Competition in Sibiu, Romania and in 2008, at the Béla Bartók Piano Competition in Szeged, Hungary. In 2011 she was awarded with the Annie Fischer Scholarship and one year later she received the ARTISJUS Prize for her outstanding performance in the field of contemporary hungarian compositions.
For 2017-2018 she is rewarded with the Young Artist Scholarship by MMA – The Hungarian Art Academy.
She has participated in a variety of masterclasses lead by Dimitri Bashkirov, Paul Badura Skoda, Mikhail Voskresensky. During the course of her career, she has collaborated with renowned conductors and artists. As a soloist, Ms. Fejes works regularly with Hungary’s leading orchestras.
Highlights of her concert activities in the last few years include performances at the Palace of Arts, the Grand Hall of the Liszt Academy in Budapest, the Academy of Music in Vienna, Universitá Cattolica and Falconieri Palace – Sala Liszt ( Hungarian Art Academy ), in Rome, Auditorio Nacional de Madrid in Spain the Bavarian Radio Symphony Hall in Munich, the Balassi Institute, Enescu Hall in Bucharest, Mikkeli Concert Hall in Finland , Shanghai Symphony Hall and Lanzhou Auditorio in China.
In 2016/2017, she gave various concerts in Auditorio Nacional de Madrid in Spain, as well as during the Beethoven festival in Palermo, Italy. Furthermore, her recent season included solo tours and masterclasses in China and in South America. As an invited artist from Europe she performed Liszt E flat major Piano Concerto with the National Symphony Orchestra at Teatro Colón de Bogotá, during the European days.
For the upcoming season, her first solo CD is going to be released, including pieces by Brazilian composer Alexandre Guerra.In addition, she is invited to realize a chamber music project in Germany for 2017/2018/2019 season with Gábor Boldóczki. Moreover, her concert activities in the nearest future will include various performances in Germany as well as diverse contemporary music projects being presented at distinct concert venues all over the world.
